Man found with gunshot wound near Lawrence and Allen


A man has been found with a gunshot wound in the Lawrence Avenue and Allen Road area.

Toronto police were called to the shooting around 10:15 p.m. and found the man outside an apartment building.

The victim has been transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects or suspect involved reportedly fled the scene in a dark-coloured sedan.

Korea Line exits VLCC segment with sales to Bahri

Johnnie / MarineTraffic Saudi Arabian shipping giant Bahri has purchased four moderns VLCCs from Korea Line Corporation, according to brokers. No price is attached to the deal, but one Greek broker suggested that the four-year-old ships could have fetched about $116m each. The sale has been widely expected as Korea Line, part of SM Group, has been reported to be keen to exit the VLCC segment. The Korean-built ships – SM White Whale 1, SM White Whale 2, SM Venus 1, and SM Venus 2 – have been in the shop window for months. China pushes nuclear ‘no first use’ while expanding its atomic arsenal

China has launched a diplomatic offensive against the US nuclear weapons posture as it rapidly strengthens its own nuclear capabilities. Beijing, the only one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council that has committed to not using nuclear weapons first, has called in Geneva for the others to match that pledge and has also denounced Washington’s arrangements for deterring attacks on its allies.
